forget london?

I'm sure you guys have seen the "Forget London" ads everywhere.

I'm not a big ad person, but this one is really teasing me.

I know I'm totally way off, but for some reason it makes me think of the FCUK brand.

What do you think it's all about?

I've seen them too - and have wondered about them.

Maybe it's something like: "forget London, we're going to build our own
- Tower Bridge
- Big Ben
- London (Dubai?)Eye
- River Thames
- Trafalgar Square
here."

I bet that they won't build Westminster Abbey though!

:-)

It's probably some airline ad for another UK destination!

Oh, oh - Sky - you have spam!

Better turn on the Blogger word verification feature to prevent a flood of spam comments like this!

Thanks nzm! Word verification is now on..:)

About the "Forget London" ad, yeah I am betting it's an airline thing. Maybe Virgin?

But Westminster Abbey sure sounds like a good idea! Would be nice to have something nice to look at for once.

:p

I dunno if it's Virgin....Virgin already came out with their "Keep discovering until you find something better" line, so why would they come up with a teaser now? And why forget London? I am thinking it's more along the lines of what NZM said...we'll find out soon enough I guess

Good investigative skills T!

But at the time of sending your comment, you should be hard at work! So go back to work.

Bravo about finding what the ad campaign was about, or bravo about shutting me up regarding blogging during office hours?

;)

Welcome moryarti!

Well both really!

I'm going to get into so much trouble one day - I spend more time on the blogs than I do working!

Good spywork on HN - another name brand to grace our malls!

Harvey Nichols or not. It could have been rephrased. What with political tensions running the gamut. Do we really need to have phrases that we automatically associate with an act of terrorism?
I mean seriously how many of you will hear the name KATRINA and not think of the hurricane that wiped out New Orleans?
I found it lacking in crativity or originality and a tad too portentous.

Kaya, you know, strangely enough I never thought of it that way. I don't mean this in an offensive way at all, but I tend to 'forget' about the London bombings sometimes.

I really say that with the best intentions, meaning the Brits haven't drilled the London bombings or "07/07" the way the US has drilled "9/11" or Katrina into our heads.

Interesting observation nonetheless. Welcome to my blog!
